Meet the Vet
Dr.
Sharon Daub, the founder and owner of P*A*W*S, has known from
a very young age that she would be a veterinarian. Her
inspiration was her dog "Suzy," who was a best friend growing
up.
Dr. Daub was born and raised right here in Lancaster County. She graduated from
McCaskey High School in 1983 and she earned her BS with Honors degree in Animal Bioscience
from Penn State in 1987. She then went to Purdue University and graduated with her
D.V.M. degree in 1991. After completing an internship in small animal medicine and
surgery at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, she returned to the area and practiced
with Leader Heights Animal Hospital in York; Smoketown Veterinary Hospital in Smoketown; and
the Humane League of Lancaster County.
She lives with her partner, her 11 year old daughter, 6 dogs, 2 cats, a bearded dragon, and 2 African albino frogs. She enjoys gardening, hiking, family time,
reading, using the computer, and Penn State football. She is dedicated to fighting the pet overpopulation problem, teaching responsible pet care,
and practicing veterinary medicine to the highest standards.
Dr. Daub is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the LGVMA, the Pennsylvania
Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association Of Housecall Veterinarians, the
Association Of Veterinarians for Animal Rights, and the Veterinary Information
Network.
